Spring in February

Madeline loves to be a princess, but she loves getting dirty outside just as much!

"Look Mommy, the bald eagle is here! Yay, that is so cool!"

She could feel the currant agains her boots. It scared her a little at first.

We love our new subdivision because it sits on the edge of an Amish farm, so we feel like we live in the country. It was so beautiful the other day and we couldn't wait for some outside time. The creek behind our house was running full so Madeline wanted to go wading. She had fun standing in the currant and looking for things in the water. There are also two bald eagles that must have a nest close by and we were lucky enough to see them that day. She now knows the difference between a hawk and a bald eagle. Who would have thought we could be out in just a jacket in February? As you can see from the smile on Madeline's face, it made her very happy. She loves the outdoors!
