Caroline is 10 Months!

Our beautiful Caroline!

Yay, I'm a big girl!

Madeline took this one
Caroline turned 10 months yesterday. It has gone so fast. She is such an active baby. She has taken steps on her own a few times, can crawl super fast (especially to keep up with Madeline), can say bye-bye, bear, mama, dada, and MA (Madeline), and hi. She waves hi and bye and can sign all done. Caroline loves her bear and must take it everywhere with her. When she doesn't have him, she says bear, bear and goes looking for him. She has begun eating real food and loves toast and broccoli. It is so cool to see Caroline and Madeline playing together more and more. They go into the playroom and will play for a long time. Caroline also loves to roll and wrestle on the floor. Madeline and she play hide-n-seek. Madeline hides and she seeks. When she finds her, she just giggles and giggles. That's what we love the most - her giggle. Caroline has an infectious giggle. She is so ticklish and we can really get her laughing. We love our baby girl. It just keeps getting more fun and more fun! These pictures really sum her up. She is sitting in Madeline's rocking chair and loves it. She is so happy doing whatever her big sister is doing. We couldn't get her out of this chair. She was very proud of herself!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

St. Patrick's Day is special at our house because it is the day that Denny and I met 13 years ago. It doesn't seem possible that 13 years have passed since that night. Every year we celebrate with Irish food and of course St. Patty's shirts. Denny had to be out of town, so the girls and I spent the day outside playing. It was so beautiful. We had a lot of fun. It was one of those days that reminds me of why I am so blessed to be at home with my two beautiful girls every day! Aren't they so cute in their I love Dad shirts. Happy St. Patty's Day!

Clothes Sorting?!

Madeline absolutely loves it when I get out totes of baby clothes for Caroline. She goes through and comments about everything. Caroline got into it today by taking everything out and throwing it on the floor. I would say who did this and she would just giggle and giggle. Too bad I can't call this sorted! I guess I'm going to have another clothes lover! I don't know where they would get that? Ha!

Swinging

Madeline loves to swing. She will swing for hours. We decided to enjoy the warm weather at the park yesterday, but first they had to put on their new chick shirts. Caroline loved just being outside and even like the swing quite a bit. Madeline loved the swings, but also was glad to climb on the equipment and run free! She also wrote all of our names in the sand since the Kalona park is our new park. It felt so good to be outside in the sunshine!

Baby Chicks

We saw the baby chicks at Hills Bank yesterday. Our favorite babysitter Ila showed us all 33 that had hatched and also answered all of Madeline's questions, which takes a while. Caroline loved them and wanted to jump right in with them! Madeline would have like to hold one, but they don't let you do that. Just another sign of Spring!

Look at me!

Caroline has figured out how to push her walking toy. She is so proud of herself. Everytime she gets going she grins great big and has this look like "look at me!" She also took a few steps all by herself. She is so close to walking! Watch out!

Painting the "Sister Room"

I am beginning to turn our new house into our home. My wonderful parents came and spent 5 days to help me get painting done. Thank you! Madeline and Caroline are now sharing a bedroom again because Madeline sleeps better if she has someone to share with like Mommy and Daddy (giggle). It works great because now we have a toyroom. While my parents were here we painted the "Sister Room" (Madeline's name for their bedroom) a very cheery and warm yellow (this was Madeline's choice). Madeline wanted to help so she jumped right in and helped paint along one wall. She thought it was fun, but stinky. She loves their yellow room! All of our bedrooms are now painted, which makes it feel like it becoming our home! I'll post pictures when the rooms are done!

Caroline the Explorer

Caroline likes to explore things from every angle. She will not sit in her exersaucer anymore, but loves to throw toys under it and then climb in to get them. Madeline sometimes uses it as a barrier, but those days are over! Nothing can stop Caroline! (Check out her tongue!)
