Catching Butterflies

I got one!

Madeline had so much fun catching butterflies today. She chased them everywhere. Luckily, we had a ton in our yard and the field right next to us. She ended up with 7 in her butterfly house that we are now taking care of and feeding. It was so fun to hear her excitement as she caught each one and how she compared them all!

Caroline as Annie!

Caroline fell in love with Annie when Madeline was in it. She wakes up every morning and every nap singing the songs. Just this morning when I went in to get her up, she was standing on her bed (like a stage) and singing "Betcha he reads, betcha she sews..." It is just so precious. The only one I don't have on video is "The Hard Knock Life" or as Caroline sings it, "Hard Nuff Life!" I will also try and get a video posted of the two of them acting out the scene of Mrs. Hannigan and Annie. It is priceless!

Madeline's Composition & Performance

The other day when the girls were doing plays, Madeline composed an original song as she performed. This is a normal occurence at our house. The part I love about when she does this is how she gets her whole self into it. There is always a lot of drama at our house. I know it's long, but the end just didn't ever come! She would sing for an hour straight if given the chance!

Onesies for Baby Brother

Cards for Baby Brother
Caroline's finished product!
Madeline's finished product. She worked so hard on her onesie!
Madeline wanted to make something for baby brother so we picked out onesies to decorate and things to make him special cards. The girls both got into creating their things and did a great job. They each wrapped them up and are ready to bring them to the hospital. They are going to be awesome big sisters! He's going to be a very blessed little boy.

I got to experience having 4 kids yesterday and much to Denny's dismay, it did not make me not want 4 kids. All the kids were awesome. Baby Jayce was the perfect baby and the girls just played and played and played. They played dress up and did plays, played baby doctor, made crafts, made trail mix, and just had so much fun! I had fun watching them play. I even got Jayce and Caroline to naps when they needed them and all kids fed on schedule. Not all days would go this smoothly! Thanks Kate and Jayce for coming over! We're glad your mommy is home from NYC!

Happy 12th Anniversary!

Denny and I celebrated our 12th anniversary on Sunday. Wow! Where have 12 years gone? Thanks for a great life. I love you very much! Can you believe we are about to be the parents of 3 kids?

The Ramsey Kids

Last Sunday our church went to Faith and Family Day at the Cedar Rapids Kernals Stadium. Since it was so hot, we decided it would be a Dad & Mad Day. Madeline was unsure of going because she didn't want to leave me at all (both of the girls are very attached right now). After they got there, she let Denny teach her all about baseball and how it works and had a great time. She really like having her friend, Jordyn, there too. They got to meet Shuck, the mascot, and some of the princesses, eat popcorn, and run the bases when it was over. Overall, I think they had a really great time. Caroline has already decided she is going to the baseball game next time! My only request was that Denny please take pictures. He did great! Our girls are so lucky to have such a great daddy!

Sleeping Beauty

Caroline has been getting out of her bed at naptime and sleeping around their room in funny places. The other day I put her down and she was very sleepy as was I. I layed down too. I came back out and found her laying in the hallway with the door closed to her room sound asleep-blankie, John, and Rosa. Too cute!

Caroline's First Haircut

Pretty Girl with Pretty Curls!
She sat so still.
Thanks, Gail!
Caroline got her first real haircut on Thursday! She did not want to at first, but she got in the chair and just watched in the mirror! It was so cute! Gail was awesome and as you can see, Caroline was so happy! One more big girl moment for Caroline!

Big Girl Swing!

Denny is always more brave to let the girls try new things. The other night he took the girls to swing while I was finishing dinner and put Caroline on a big swing! She of course loved it because she was like Sissy. She was holding on and laughing away. I was so nervous, but she did great! I'm not ready for all these big girl things from her. Why does it go faster the second time around?

Swim Lessons with Miss Judy

Madeline loves the water. She took private lessons with Miss Judy this year and learned so much. Miss Judy is the best swim teacher around. Madeline can officially swim with no block in any water! She can do the crawl, back swim, float both ways, dive, jump in and immediately swim, dive deep for dive sticks, and is no longer afraid of touching the bottom of the pool! Thank you Miss Judy!

Hats!

I wore a hat the other day, so both the girls wanted one too! I just thought they were so cute! Don't you love Madeline's camo hat with the eyelet! Thanks Aunt Kate!

This pregnancy and humid heat do not go well together, so we have been trying to have fun inside as much as possible. We went to the ICM on Wednesday for some cool, indoor fun. The girls had so much fun as usual. We were lucky that the Hershberger family was there too!
