Caroline plays many roles in our house. She can be Madeline's baby, a doctor, and even Madeline's Mommy. She loves to pretend with her sister and is getting better at understanding what it means to pretend. One night Madeline was playing zoo and she told Caroline they were going to the zoo. Madeline took them on the train and talked about all the animals and then said it was time to go home. Caroline began to sob loudly and say "No, I want go to zoo. I want go zoo!" She was so crushed because she believed they were going to the zoo. We talked a lot about pretend and she was ok. Now she says, "Sun come out, we go to zoo, when warm!"
