Our Family
Our 5-Year-Old Girl
It is so hard to believe that our first baby is 5 years old today. It is a bittersweet day for us. We are so proud of the confident, caring, smart kid she has become, but we are sad that it has gone by so fast. Since the moment we knew we were having her, Madeline Rebeccas has brought joy into our world. With her constant curiousity, infectious smile, and thoughtful actions, she makes being her mommy and daddy the most rewarding experience in the world. Our birthday theme this year is firefighters, but not because Madeline loves firefighters and trucks. Madeline plans to be a firefighting mommy when she grows up. From her perspective she can be home with her babies and fight fire at night while the Daddy is home. We celebrated by going to the Apple Orchard, Yotty's ice cream (of course), and her traditional family party tonight. It was made especially wonderful because Auntie Mallory came for her "real birthday" party! It was so cute when she opened her presents and said "Thank you Mommy and Daddy" each time so sweetly. Happy Birthday Angel! We love you to the moon and back!
