Our 5-Year-Old Girl

Caroline's First Hayrack Ride

Matt was only in the truck because he wanted Sophia to have the experience, right?
Denny might have enjoyed it the most of all!

Future Firefighter
Elizabeth & Madeline really enjoyed spending time together today!
Isaac wanted to climb on too! He is just so happy & smiley all the time!
Caroline even wanted to drive! Do we have another firefighting mommy in our future?

Madeline's fireman birthday party was so fun. We had a hayrack ride to the fire station where the kids got to climb on and explore the firetrucks. Most of the grownups had never done that, so we all enjoyed it! Thanks to our Fire Chief, Steve Yotty, for doing such a great job! Back at our house the kids completed a fireman obstacle course and played water balloon toss. I think they really had a great time. Denny even got soaking wet! We completed our day with cake and presents. Some friends stayed to grill out and watch the Iowa-Penn State game (Go Hawks!). This gave Madeline a bonus party, as she and her friends got to watch Happy Feet and eat popcorn in our bed. It was a really fun day for all of us. Thank you to all of our friends and especially Gramma, Papa Richard and Auntie for making Madeline's party so special.
