I have always said I would not want a garden for anything. The weeds would drive me crazy, but when Madeline started showing an interest, I decided we could give it a try. This week we planted our first garden. We call it our garden adventure because I am not counting on anything growing! We were going to keep it pretty small, but we have now planted tomatoes (3 kinds), sweet corn, peas, green beans, carrots, onions (2 kinds), red, green, & yellow peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, and green & yellow zucchini squash. Watermelon, cantaloupe, and pumpkins are to come! We had a wonderful time planting. Caroline enjoyed the dirt too. She only tasted it once! We'll let you know how it all turns out.
